realme Philippines announces the launch of the realme Pad Mini on April 4, 2022 just in time for the summer sale. It's also the first realme device to launch in the Philippines ahead of other countries.

The realme Pad Mini is the brand's latest tablet that features a slim design with a large display for its size, making it a great entertainment tablet with fast performance in a compact size.

Unboxing
The Tab mini is delivered in standard white packaging. It has an image and the branding of the tablet on the front and a list of the tablet's features and specifications on the back.

Inside the box, it includes the realme Pad Mini tablet, a type-C cable, 18-W charger, warranty card, quick guide, and a SIM ejector tool.

First Impressions
Just like its big brother, the Pad mini features a compact and slim profile at only 7.6mm thickness, and it's also lightweight and comfortable to hold even on one hand and can be easily slipped into a bag.

It's built on aluminum alloy and is available in the same color as the iPad mini, which is a dark grey that gives it a rugged appearance. At the back, there is an 8-megapixel single camera lens and the realme branding.

The power button and the volume controls are placed on the upper right side when the tablet is in portrait mode. While the SIM and microSD card slot is on the other side.

The USB Type-C port is located on the bottom of the device, flanked by the microphone and speaker grille.

While the headphone jack and second speaker are located on the opposite end, which makes it more convenient to use the tablet in landscape mode. Although it lacks a fingerprint scanner, it does support other common screen unlock methods such as PIN and Face unlock.

Upfront it features an 8.7-inch screen, with 800 x 1340 pixels resolution, 81.5% screen-to-body ratio, and 5:3 aspect ratio which is a great device to use when reading eBooks, watching videos, and playing games on landscape mode. It’s also an ideal device for online learning since it has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The realme Pad Mini is powered by the Unisoc Tiger T616 SoC with 12 nm architecture, with a clock speed of up to 2GHz, paired with Mali-G57 MP1 GPI, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, It also supports storage expansion via microSD card up to 1TB. Also, it has a SIM slot with 4G/LTE and supports both data and voice calls. It's also equipped with a 6,400mAh battery and 18W fast charging capability.

It ships with Android 11 with realme UI R Edition, it's a realme UI that is optimized for budget devices and provides a stock Android-like experience. It's a straightforward responsive experience with a simple layout. It includes the full Google suite and is free of bloatware, which is great.

The realme Tab Mini is a great slim tablet with a nice design and a wide display that is ideal for those who want a device with a bigger screen but do not want to carry a large 10-inch tablet. It's a device in between smartphone and tablet that you can use if you want to enjoy watching your favorite shows and it's also a better device for online learning since it features a 4G LTE connection you can use it anywhere.
