realme X3 SuperZoom

realme's latest camera-centric smartphone, the realme X3 SuperZoom, boasts flagship specs. Highlights are its 60x zoom camera with Snapdragon 855+ processor and 120Hz Ultra Smooth Display.

The realme X3 SuperZoom is an upper mid-range smartphone that looks great on paper, realme Philippines provided me with the opportunity to test this new smartphone.

There’s nothing special about the box, it comes in realme’s signature yellow box with the realme X3 SuperZoom label at the front and some specs details at the back.

Opening the box, inside is the X3 SuperZoom device with a screen protector pre-installed, 30W Dart Charger, USB Type-C cable, SIM Ejector Tool, clear protective case, user guide, and warranty information papers.

Design and Built
In terms of design, realme X3 SuperZoom seems similar to realme 6 with 3D quad-curved glass reflecting kaleidoscopic colors from its surface with a matte finish, also at the back is the vertically aligned quad rear camera setup.

Upfront, there’s a 6.6-inch 120Hz Fullscreen with a punch-hole dual selfie camera setup that looks great.

On the right side is the power button that also doubles as the fingerprint scanner, while the volume rocker is on the left side of the device.

Going to the bottom is the SIM slot, mic, Type-C port, and speaker grille. Sadly there’s no headphones jack, the options are to use wireless earphones via Bluetooth or use the Type-C port for audio needs.

Hardware-wise the X3 SuperZoom is powered by a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor with Adreno 640 GPU for graphics, huge 12GB RAM, and massive 256GB internal storage, it also packs a 4,200mAh battery.

The Snapdragon 855+ is last year’s flagship mobile processor, but it’s still one of the most powerful mobile SoC in the market today that can compete with other high-end smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S10 series.

On the AnTuTu benchmark, the X3 SuperZoom scored 499,816 ranking 11th on the list of the most powerful smartphones beating the Huawei P40 Pro 5G.

It's certified as a mobile gaming device, I installed the Asphalt 9 racing game, the latest One Puch Man game and it runs smoothly and the gameplay is amazing. Call of Duty Mobile game works great with high settings.

The realme X3 SuperZoom boasts a 64-megapixel Quad-Camera Setup that comes with a 5x Periscope Telephoto Lens, with up to 60x Superzoom. At the front, it sports a dual punch hole ultrawide selfie camera.

First Impressions

The realme X3 SuperZoom is a powerful smartphone with an amazing 120Hz ultra-smooth display, it can compete with other flagship brands with its flagship Snapdragon 855+ processor, massive RAM and storage, and long battery life. In terms of look, it has a subtle design, but the 3D quad-curved glass looks great. For photos and videos, this phone comes with impressive cameras, and it's the most affordable phone with a periscope telephoto snapper money can buy.
