DJI Osmo Pocket 4: Specs, Features
DJI has officially announced the Osmo Pocket 4, and while it keeps the same compact and pocketable form, the updates this time are more noticeable where it actually matters, shooting, tracking, and day-to-day use.

At a glance, it doesn’t look like a big redesign. But once you start going through what’s new, it’s clear DJI focused on refining the experience rather than changing everything.

The Osmo Pocket 4 still uses a 1-inch CMOS sensor, but DJI improved how it handles real-world scenes. Low-light shots come out cleaner, and there’s better control over highlights and shadows.
With 14 stops of dynamic range and 10-bit D-Log, you get more usable footage straight out of the camera. Compared to the previous model, there’s less struggle with blown-out skies or overly dark shadows, especially in mixed lighting.

The biggest upgrade here is the addition of 4K at 240fps. The previous version already had strong slow-motion options, but this pushes it further. You can now capture smoother slow-motion clips without dropping resolution, which is useful for action shots or creative footage.
DJI Osmo Pocket 4: Specs, Features
DJI upgraded the tracking system to ActiveTrack 7.0, and it’s more consistent when following subjects. In real use, this shows up when you’re filming moving people or shooting in crowded areas. The camera is better at holding onto the subject instead of losing focus when something passes in front.

It also works at up to 4x zoom now, which gives more flexibility when framing shots from a distance. Combined with modes like Spotlight Follow and Dynamic Framing, it makes solo shooting a bit less stressful.

There’s now a dedicated zoom button, so switching between 1x, 2x, or jumping to 4x feels quicker and more natural. On the previous model, this usually meant tapping through the screen, which could interrupt your flow.

The addition of a custom preset button also helps if you regularly switch between shooting styles. It cuts down the time spent navigating menus. DJI also added a 5D joystick, which improves how you control movement and framing. Re-centering the gimbal or adjusting angles is more straightforward now.

Another small but useful change, you can start recording just by rotating the screen. It’s one of those features that sounds simple but makes the camera easier to use in quick situations.

One of the more practical upgrades is the move to 107GB of built-in storage. With the previous model, you still had to rely on a memory card most of the time. Now, you can just pick up the camera and start shooting without thinking about storage.

File transfers are also faster, reaching up to 800MB/s, which helps when moving large video files to your phone or computer. It shortens the gap between shooting and editing, especially if you’re creating content regularly.

DJI also refined a few creative features. There’s support for slow shutter video, Film Tone presets, and in-camera beautify for quick adjustments. An optional fill light can be attached for low-light or backlit scenes, which is useful for vlogging or indoor shoots.

Battery performance remains solid. You can get up to 240 minutes of 1080p recording, and charging from 0 to 80% takes around 18 minutes, which is practical for on-the-go use.

Audio is still handled by a built-in microphone array, with support for DJI Mic transmitters. It also allows up to 4-channel recording, making it more flexible for interviews or multi-person setups.
