TECNO has officially introduced the TECNO SPARK 50 5G, one of the first models in its new SPARK 50 Series. The device focuses on achieving long battery life, improved durability, and what the brand calls “Practical AI” features, designed for everyday use.
Announced in Hong Kong, the SPARK 50 5G is designed for users who rely heavily on their phones throughout the day, whether for work, school, or entertainment.
Big battery with fast charging
One of the main highlights of the SPARK 50 5G is its 6500mAh battery, paired with 45W fast charging. TECNO says the device can go from zero to full in about an hour. The company also highlights long-term battery reliability, with support for up to 1,800 charging cycles while maintaining over 80% battery health. This suggests the phone is designed to hold up even after years of regular use.
Built for durability
The SPARK 50 5G is designed to handle everyday wear and tear. It comes with IP64 dust and water resistance, offering protection against splashes and light exposure to moisture. It also features MIL-STD-810H certification, which indicates added resistance to drops and rough conditions. On top of that, TECNO includes Wet Touch 2.0, allowing the screen to remain responsive even when fingers are wet or slightly oily.

Practical AI features for daily use
TECNO is putting a strong focus on AI with this release. The SPARK 50 5G includes the Ella AI voice assistant along with features designed to make everyday tasks easier. One of these is AI FlashMemo, which can capture on-screen content and automatically generate summaries, titles, and tags. These are stored in the AI MindHub, a searchable space that organizes saved information. The device also supports AI noise cancellation for calls and recordings, helping improve voice clarity in noisy environments.

Camera and additional features
The SPARK 50 5G is equipped with a 50MP main camera, supported by AI features like AI FlashSnap for capturing moving subjects and BestMoment, which helps select the right frame automatically. It also supports LivePhoto, allowing users to capture short moments with motion and sound.

Other practical additions include an infrared remote function that can control over 2,000 home appliance brands, turning the phone into a universal remote.
Performance and connectivity
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 5G+ processor. The phone also supports 5G Carrier Aggregation, which TECNO claims can deliver faster download speeds compared to standard 5G.
For connectivity, the SPARK 50 5G includes FreeLink 2.0, which enables communication without a cellular network within a range of up to 1.5 kilometers. This can be useful in areas with weak or no signal. It also comes with NFC support, including a Touch Transfer feature for quick file sharing.
Design and build
The SPARK 50 5G features a design that combines durability with a more refined look. It uses a six-series aviation-grade aluminum build, which TECNO says is more durable than standard materials used in similar devices.
