The OPPO Reno16 Series is the latest addition to the company's Reno lineup, introducing the Reno16, Reno16 Pro, and Reno16 F with AI-powered camera features, built-in editing tools, refreshed hardware, and a redesigned look.
Beyond the camera upgrades, OPPO is putting more emphasis on software this time around, adding new AI features through ColorOS 16 while pairing the lineup with larger batteries, improved durability, and the new OPPO Bubble accessory for users who enjoy creating content on their smartphones.
The series debuts the new 3D Pop Planet Design, highlighted by the Pop White colorway that uses OPPO's industry-first HoloVerse 3D Technology. Millions of microscopic lenses create a floating, nebula-inspired effect that changes with light, while the one-piece cold-sculpted back cover seamlessly blends into the camera module for a cleaner finish.
The Reno16 and Reno16 Pro feature compact 6.32-inch displays with aerospace-grade aluminum frames, while the Reno16 F comes with a larger 6.57-inch display.
For photography, all three models are equipped with a 50MP Ultra Wide Selfie Camera with a 100-degree field of view. The rear camera setup includes a high-resolution main camera with OIS, a 3.5x optical zoom telephoto portrait camera, and an ultra-wide camera. The Reno16 Pro upgrades the main shooter to a 200MP Ultra Clear Main Camera for higher-detail images and greater cropping flexibility.
OPPO also introduces Pop Cam, which allows users to apply Digicam, Instant Film, and Light Leak effects directly during shooting. The new Create hub inside the Photos app adds AI Remix Collage, Popout Collage 2.0, 4K Auto Straighten Video, and Dual View Video 2.0, making it easier to edit photos and videos without relying on third-party apps.
Running on ColorOS 16, the Reno16 Series adds AI Snap Key for quick access to AI Mind Space, where users can save and organize on-screen information. Other AI features include AI Bill Manager for tracking receipts and payments, AI Mind Pilot for coordinating multiple AI models, and AI Menu Translation, which provides visual explanations of foreign dishes in addition to text translation.
Battery capacity starts at 6,700mAh across the lineup, while the Reno16 F increases it to 7,000mAh, with all models supporting 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
The Reno16 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super Platform with AI HyperBoost 3.0, enhanced cooling, and support for up to 144Hz refresh rates in supported games. The Reno16 uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform. While the Reno 16 F is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy. The series also includes AI LinkBoost 4.0, IP68/IP69/IP69K water and dust resistance, plus Splash Touch and Glove Touch for improved usability in different conditions.
Alongside the smartphones, OPPO also announced OPPO Bubble, a 35g magnetic accessory with an AMOLED display that works as a live rear-camera monitor and remote shutter from up to 10 meters away. Users can also customize the display with images, animations, and text through its companion app.
