HONOR has introduced a new feature-packed pair of wireless earbuds in the Philippines, the HONOR Earbuds 4. It features dual drivers, 50dB hybrid active noise cancellation, AI call noise cancellation, AI translation, and up to 46 hours of total playback.
The earbuds also focus on everyday controls. You get touch controls, swipe volume adjustment, smart wear detection, and two transparency modes. It sits in a competitive price range for wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation.
Dual Drivers for Audio
Each earbud uses an 11mm dynamic driver and a 6mm dual-magnetic driver. The larger 11mm driver handles bass, while the 6mm driver focuses on higher frequencies.
Both drivers use titanium-coated diaphragms. HONOR says the coating provides 20 times stronger rigidity for faster driver response. The 11mm driver also uses a copper coil and larger diaphragm for bass reproduction.
The Earbuds 4 supports a stated 10Hz to 20kHz frequency range. HONOR also lists up to 3x loudness gain at 20kHz, with a stated +22.82dB gain based on HONOR Lab testing.
50dB Hybrid ANC
The Earbuds 4 use three microphones for hybrid active noise cancellation. You get Deep, Medium, and Light ANC levels, giving you different levels of noise reduction for places such as airports, cafés, streets, offices, and libraries.
HONOR rates the maximum noise cancellation depth at 50dB. Actual performance varies with ear shape, ear tip fit, wearing position, movement, and the surrounding environment.
The earbuds also include Ambient Mode and Voice Mode. Ambient Mode lets surrounding sounds through, while Voice Mode focuses on human voices when you need to talk to someone or hear an announcement.
AI Call Noise Cancellation
The three-microphone system also handles call noise cancellation. HONOR uses a DNN algorithm to reduce background noise and lists wind noise reduction of up to 6m/s. This is useful for calls in busy areas, offices, and outdoors. Your results still depend on your surroundings, network connection, and earbud fit.
Up to 46 Hours of Battery Life
The earbuds provide up to 9 hours of music playback on a single charge with ANC turned off. The charging case extends total playback to up to 46 hours. With Deep ANC enabled, HONOR rates playback at up to 5 hours. A 10-minute charge provides up to 3 hours of music playback.
These figures come from HONOR Lab testing at 50% volume with an HONOR smartphone, and ANC turned off. Actual battery life varies with volume, ANC settings, audio source, and usage.
Touch Controls and Smart Features
The Earbuds 4 uses touch and swipe controls for everyday functions. Swipe up or down to adjust volume, double-tap to play or pause, and triple-tap to change tracks. Press and hold to switch between noise cancellation and awareness modes.
Smart wear detection pauses playback when you remove an earbud and resumes it when you put the earbud back in. Through HONOR AI Space, you also get AI translation, Find My Earbuds, Instant Pairing, and Game Mode. The AI Space app supports Android and iOS.
Lightweight Design and IP54 Protection
Each earbud weighs 5.3 grams. HONOR says its ear tips offer a 15.6% improvement in softness compared with conventional ear cushions. The Earbuds 4 comes in White and Black. The White model has a pearlescent finish, while the Black version uses a subtle sparkle effect.
The earbuds carry an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. This protection applies to the earbuds, not the charging case. But the earbuds are not designed for immersion, intense exercise, heavy sweating, or hot water.
Price
The HONOR Earbuds 4 is priced at ₱2,799 in the Philippines. For that price, you get dual 11mm and 6mm drivers, 50dB hybrid ANC, three microphones, two transparency modes, AI call noise cancellation, up to 46 hours of total playback, fast charging, smart wear detection, AI translation, and IP54-rated earbuds.
