The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 recorded the highest pre-order volume among Samsung’s new Galaxy Z8 lineup, accounting for almost 60% of orders across Southeast Asia and Oceania during the pre-order period.
In the Philippines, pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8 started on July 22, 2026, and ended on August 13, 2026. The Galaxy Z Fold8 accounted for almost 60% of local Galaxy Z8 orders, making it Samsung’s best-selling foldable during a pre-order period in the country.
Across Southeast Asia and Oceania, combined pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra were almost 60% higher than those recorded for the Galaxy Z Fold7.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Records the Highest Pre-Orders
The Galaxy Z Fold8 accounted for almost six out of every 10 Galaxy Z8 devices ordered across Southeast Asia and Oceania. Samsung has not disclosed the individual order percentages for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip8.
The Fold8 features a 4:3 main display and weighs 201 grams, making it Samsung’s lightest Galaxy Z Fold. The larger display is suited to content such as short-form videos, webtoons, games, and e-books, while the lighter body addresses one of the practical drawbacks associated with larger foldable phones.

Consumers in their teens through their 30s accounted for almost 60% of Galaxy Z8 customers who ordered through Samsung.com in Southeast Asia and Oceania. The Graphite and Lavender were the most popular colors in the region.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip8
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra takes a more productivity-focused approach. It features an 8-inch main display, providing more space for multitasking, along with an upgraded camera system designed to capture greater detail, color, and clarity.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 is the more compact model in the lineup. Samsung describes it as its sleekest Galaxy Z Flip so far, while its redesigned FlexWindow allows users to access apps, information, actions, and assistance from the cover screen.
For the Fold8 Ultra, Violet Shadow and Graphite were the preferred colors among Southeast Asia and Oceania buyers. Pink and Graphite were the top choices for the Galaxy Z Flip8.
Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Watch9
Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 alongside the new foldable phones. The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is aimed at users who spend more time outdoors and need longer endurance, while the Galaxy Watch9 is positioned as an everyday health and wellness companion. The new watches are also part of Samsung’s wider Galaxy ecosystem, extending connected features between its smartphones and wearables.
Pre-Order Offers in the Philippines
During the July 22 to August 13 pre-order campaign, customers could double their storage and save up to ₱7,000, get up to ₱14,000 in eligible trade-in savings, and receive three months of Samsung Care+ worth ₱3,297.
Eligible Galaxy Z8 purchases also included a six-month Google AI Pro trial, while pre-orders of the 256GB models came with ₱3,000 off select Galaxy Wearables.
The campaign also offered up to 50% trade-in value, up to ₱16,000 in guaranteed savings, and up to ₱3,000 in vendor discounts. The Galaxy Z8 series went on sale starting August 14, 2026.
The pre-order numbers give the Galaxy Z Fold8 the largest share of Samsung’s new foldable lineup, accounting for almost 60% of Galaxy Z8 orders in both the Philippines and across Southeast Asia and Oceania.
