TECNO has announced the CAMON Slim, a new addition to its CAMON smartphone lineup that combines a slim form factor with AI-powered software features. Measuring 6.39mm thick, the device also introduces an upgraded AI Mood Light system.
Alongside its hardware upgrades, the CAMON Slim includes several AI tools for photography, productivity, education, and wellness. The company says the phone will be released in multiple markets, while regional pricing and availability will be announced separately.
Slim design with customizable rear lighting
One of the highlights of the CAMON Slim is its 6.39mm curved unibody design, making it one of the slimmer smartphones announced by TECNO. The rear panel includes 354 mini LED lights that support 55 lighting scenarios. The lighting reacts to events such as incoming calls, notifications, charging status, and gaming activity. Users can also customize the light animations.
TECNO is offering several finishes, including New Mondrian, Prism Black, Jungle Green, Van Gogh Blue, and Burgundy Red, each featuring different textures and manufacturing techniques.

The CAMON Slim is equipped with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main camera using a 1/2-inch image sensor. According to TECNO, the larger sensor is designed to improve image quality in low-light environments, while its AI imaging system helps reduce blur when capturing moving subjects.
On the front, the device features a 32MP selfie camera with a 92.4-degree field of view for wider group selfies. TECNO also continues to use its Universal Tone imaging technology, which is intended to improve skin tone reproduction across different complexions.
AI features extend beyond photography
In addition to camera-related AI functions, the CAMON Slim includes several tools aimed at productivity and everyday use. New features include AI Snap Poster, which generates product posters from photos, AI Recording Notes for lecture transcription, AI Class Schedule for importing class timetables, and AI Writing for text generation within supported apps.
Other AI tools include AI Healthy Eating, which estimates nutritional information from food photos, and AI Football, which provides football-related updates and interactive features.

TECNO says the battery is designed to retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 2,000 charging cycles. The device is also rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance and supports underwater photography.
