Filipino Harry Potter fans have something to look forward to. The realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition is coming to the Philippines, and this limited-edition smartphone takes its Hogwarts-inspired design beyond the usual themed wallpaper and phone case.
From its distinctive rear panel to its customized software and special packaging, realme has given this edition plenty of details that fans of the Wizarding World will appreciate. It also packs capable hardware, so there's more to it than its Harry Potter identity.
A Hogwarts-Inspired Design With Hidden Details
The first thing you'll notice is the Hogwarts Four-House Crest on the back, set against a 3D diamond-pattern leather finish inspired by the wizard chessboard.

There's also a special effect that makes the design more interesting. Under UV light, the phone reveals all four Hogwarts house colors through what realme calls Quadra Light-Sensing Color-changing Tech, which the company describes as a world-first feature.
The camera area gets its own themed treatment, too. An aluminum alloy camera deco inspired by Hedwig frames the lenses, while the words "Welcome to Hogwarts" are laser-engraved on the mid-frame. Despite these design details, the phone measures just 8.47mm thick. It's a thoughtful combination of themed styling and a relatively slim profile.
The Harry Potter Experience
The customization doesn't end with the exterior. Turn on the realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition, and the Hogwarts theme continues throughout the software. It features a Hogwarts Castle wallpaper, a Harry Potter-inspired boot animation, and a fingerprint animation that sends acceptance letters flying across the screen. realme has also redesigned more than 30 app icons to match the theme.

These additions give the phone a more complete Harry Potter identity. Rather than relying on a few visual changes, realme has carried the theme across several parts of the user experience. Beneath the Hogwarts-inspired design, the realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition comes with hardware aimed at everyday use.
The phone features an industry-first TÜV-certified 200MP LumaColor Camera. While the megapixel count is a notable specification, actual photo quality will still depend on factors such as image processing, lighting, and camera performance in different conditions.
Battery capacity is another highlight. It packs a 7,000mAh Titan Battery with support for 80W fast charging. The large battery should appeal to users who spend long hours browsing, watching videos, taking photos, or playing games on their phones.
On the front, the device features a 144Hz Full HD+ AMOLED display. The high refresh rate should make scrolling and supported animations look smoother, while the AMOLED panel provides the display technology expected from a modern smartphone.
The phone also comes with IP69 Pro Dust & Water Resistance, offering added protection against dust and water exposure. As with any device, its resistance has limits, so users should still follow realme's care and usage guidelines.
A Special Gift Box for Harry Potter Fans
realme is also giving a limited-edition special packaging. The gift box is styled as a Hogwarts acceptance kit, making the unboxing part of the Harry Potter experience. There's also a hidden surprise inside the box, although realme hasn't revealed what it is yet.

For collectors and longtime fans, these details could make the edition more appealing than a standard smartphone with a themed case. The packaging, exterior design, and software customizations all contribute to its identity as a Harry Potter-themed device.

The realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition is headed to the Philippines, but its official local price and release date have yet to be confirmed in the announcement.
For a price reference, the standard realme 16 Pro 5G retails in the Philippines at ₱31,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant and ₱37,999 for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant.
The Harry Potter Edition has also launched in Malaysia, where the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at RM 2,699 as of September 21, 2026. That converts to approximately ₱35,000 to ₱36,000, depending on the exchange rate.
These prices provide a rough idea of where the special edition could sit in the market, but they don't confirm its eventual Philippine SRP. The Harry Potter Edition has a different storage configuration from the two standard Philippine variants listed above, and its local pricing may also reflect its exclusive design and packaging.
Buyers will have to wait for realme Philippines to announce the official price, availability, and any launch promotions.
