Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 2026 Series in the Philippines, offering five screen sizes ranging from 55 inches to 98 inches. The new lineup combines Quantum Dot Mini LED technology, 4K resolution, Google TV, and gaming features designed for different home entertainment setups.
The series targets buyers looking for a TV for movies, sports, streaming, and gaming. The smaller models support up to 120Hz Game Boost mode, while the larger 85-inch and 98-inch variants feature a native 144Hz refresh rate with Game Boost mode reaching up to 288Hz.
Mini LED Display Technology
The Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 2026 Series uses Quantum Dot Mini LED technology to improve brightness, contrast, and color reproduction. The displays feature independent local dimming zones that control the backlight across different areas of the screen.
The 55-inch model has 308 local dimming zones, while the 65-inch version has 384 zones. The 75-inch model increases the count to 512 zones. All three models offer up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness, with Xiaomi claiming black levels as low as 0.0001 nits. They cover 94% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and support more than 1.07 billion colors.
For compatible content, the TVs support HDR10+ and HLG. Filmmaker Mode is also available for viewers who want to watch movies with picture settings that preserve the intended presentation. The combination of Mini LED backlighting and local dimming helps improve contrast between bright highlights and dark scenes. This can benefit movies with nighttime scenes, HDR content, and other material that relies on a wide range of brightness levels.
Gaming Features and Game Boost Mode
The 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch models support 4K resolution and a 120Hz Game Boost mode. They also feature MEMC 4K 60Hz frame interpolation, which helps make fast-moving scenes appear smoother.
HDMI 2.1 Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) automatically switches compatible devices to a lower-latency setting when gaming. This helps reduce the delay between a player’s input and the action displayed on the screen.
The larger 85-inch and 98-inch models offer more advanced gaming specifications. Both feature a native 4K refresh rate of 144Hz, with Game Boost mode increasing the refresh rate to as high as 288Hz.
Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) helps synchronize the display’s refresh rate with a compatible gaming device to reduce screen tearing. The two larger models also have three HDMI 2.1 ports for connecting supported gaming consoles, PCs, and other devices.
These features make the larger models worth considering for players who want a big-screen gaming setup. However, achieving the highest refresh rates depends on the connected device, resolution, settings, and supported content.
Dolby Audio, DTS:X, and Dolby Atmos Support
The Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 2026 Series comes with dual 15W speakers, providing a combined rated output of 30W. The 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch models support Dolby Audio, DTS:X, and Xiaomi Sound processing.
The 85-inch and 98-inch variants add Dolby Atmos support alongside Dolby Vision. Dolby Atmos can create a more immersive spatial audio experience with compatible content, while Dolby Vision improves HDR presentation in supported movies and shows.
These features provide an audio and video upgrade for home entertainment, although users who want deeper bass or a more pronounced surround-sound experience may still prefer a separate soundbar or speaker system.
Google TV, Google Assistant, and Wireless Casting
All five screen sizes run Google TV, giving users access to compatible streaming applications, personalized recommendations, and entertainment services through a single interface.
The lineup supports hands-free Google Assistant for voice commands and smart home controls on compatible devices. Google Cast and Apple AirPlay also allow users to stream or mirror supported content from compatible smartphones, tablets, and other devices.
For connectivity, the 85-inch and 98-inch models include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. These features support wireless streaming and connections to compatible accessories. The TVs feature a Dark Gray finish and a screen-to-body ratio of up to 98%, giving the displays a relatively edge-to-edge appearance. These features aim to improve viewing comfort during extended movie sessions and gaming.
